Year 3 trip to Manchester Cathedral ⛪️ #beanexpertlearner

Date: 29th Apr 2026 @ 10:11am

On Tuesday we had the wonderful opportunity of visiting Manchester Cathedral. We started our day by getting on the tram, which was lots of fun. On the way we played eye spy with our friends. When we arrived at the church, we had sometime to explore before beginning our tour of the Cathedral. During our tour we learnt about the important parts of the Cathedral, which it is special to Christian's, how they worship and celebrate different festivals. We also had the chance to look at the stain glass windows and learn more about the stories they are telling us.

As it was a lovely day, we were able to have a picnic in the gardens of the Cathedral in the sunshine. Before heading back to school, we were allowed to go back inside the Cathedral to try and create our own stain glass windows inspired by some of the stories we were told during the day. What a wonderful day we had!
