Welcome to Year 3

What a wonderful first week in Year 3! We have loved exploring our new classroom, getting to know our new teacher and doing lots of fun learning. 

On Monday we started our swimming lessons, which was so much fun. All of the children were extremely resilient and tried their best in the pool. It was lovely to see the children encouraging their friends when it got a little bit scary. We can't wait to watch them all become confident swimmers throughout the year. 

This week we have started exploring our text 'The Twits' by Roald Dahl. The children loved exploring the character Mr Twit and using amazing adjectives to describe him. In maths, we have been looking at numbers to 1,000 which has been extremely tricky but we have all worked so hard!

We have also started our Geography topic, 'location, location, location', where we are learning all about the UK as well as our Sciene topic all about forces and magnets.
