🥘 Viva España in DT! 🇪🇸 #BeAnExpertLearner

This half term, as part of our Viva España topic, Year 5 have been busy in DT learning how to make a traditional Spanish dish — a Spanish omelette.

First, we explored the ingredients needed to make a Spanish omelette and discussed where some of these ingredients come from. We then carefully followed a recipe and method, just like real chefs, to make our own delicious omelettes.

The children did a fantastic job following the steps and working safely in the kitchen. It was wonderful to see everyone showing independence and enthusiasm while learning an important life skill.

Of course, the best part was tasting our creations — they were absolutely delicious! The class really enjoyed bringing a taste of Spain into our classroom learning.
