Vicious Vesuvius ?

In English this week, Year 3 have been learning all about the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD.

On Tuesday, we had a virtual tour of the site of Pompeii and experienced an immersive animation of what it would have been like at the time of the eruption.

Through the week, have supported our learning using the story Escape from Pompeii by Christina Ballit to think about how people would have felt before, during and after the eruption. Through this, we created our own 'role on the wall' for the main characters, Livia and Toranio.

On Friday, we transformed ourselves into time travellers and transported ourselves back to 79 AD and sent a text message back to our families to tell them what it was like at the time of the eruption!
