Twists, Trails and Times Tables!

We’ve had a really good week in Year 5!
In English, we’ve been showing off our creativity by changing the ending of Romeo and Juliet! The children came up with some fantastic alternative twists – from surprise reunions to dramatic rescues – and really impressed us with their imagination and descriptive writing.
In Maths, we explored factors, prime numbers, and square numbers. The children have worked brilliantly to spot number patterns and explain their reasoning – they’re becoming real number detectives!
In History, we took a step back in time to the Tudor period, where we investigated crime and punishment. The class were fascinated (and a little shocked!) by the harsh punishments people faced for different crimes. We had some brilliant discussions comparing Tudor justice to what we know today.
It’s been a busy and brilliant week full of learning, curiosity, and creativity!
