In a kingdom far away… 🏰

This week in English, Y5 have written their narrative based on the class text, Quest. They included many features in their writing including ones that we have looked at last week, metaphors and personification. 

In maths, Y5 have moved on to looking at multiplying two digit numbers in different ways. By using the area method and the formal method. They are using their knowledge on times tables to help them do this. 

In science, Y5 have looked at stages and phases of the moon and how it orbits the Earth 🌍. They were armed and ready to start the lesson with many facts about the moon they have discovered themselves. 

In RE, Y5 have been looking at how Christians celebrate Christmas, this week we understood what the journey was like for Mary. From Nazareth to Bethlehem, she travelled 70 miles whilst carrying baby Jesus.
