Fraction walls! #becreative 🧱

What an amazing start to the term we’ve had!
In Maths, we have been learning about equivalent fractions. We had lots of fun building fraction walls to help us find different equivalent fractions. We were amazed when we discovered that 3/9 is equivalent to 4/12! Why not ask us if we can find some more equivalent fractions?
In Geography, we have been exploring the physical and human features of the Amazon rainforest. We sorted a range of images into the correct sections and discovered many fascinating features, such as Pico da Neblina and the Amazon River. How incredible is that!
In PSHE, we have been learning about how to be a good listener. We discussed different ways we can show we are listening and created a set of class rules to help us. We also had a go at using string telephones to see how well we could listen to our partners.
In English, we have started our new text, The Great Kapok Tree. We had a fantastic time reading the story and took on the role of journalists, interviewing animals who were eyewitnesses in the story. We came up with interesting open questions to help us gather information for our newspaper reports next week.
In Science, we have started our new topic on teeth. We examined our own teeth and even created a song to help us learn about the different types of teeth and their functions. Why not ask us about the function of incisors?
What a fantastic week we have had!
