What a wonderful way to end a very busy and successful half term in Year 5!
We started the week by celebrating Eid together. Children came into school wearing their beautiful Eid clothes, which made the day feel extra special. We also enjoyed a delicious Eid lunch, and it was lovely to see everyone sharing in the celebrations and learning about the importance of this special occasion.
In Geography, we explored traditions and festivals celebrated around the world. We then zoomed in on Spain and learned about the famous La Tomatina festival. The children were fascinated to discover how this unique tomato-throwing celebration is an important part of Spanish culture.
Later in the week, we enjoyed an energetic Freddie Fit session, where children took part in fun team activities. It was fantastic to see their teamwork, communication and determination on display as they worked together and stayed active.
We ended the week with a very exciting Easter egg hunt, which brought lots of smiles, laughter and excitement. It was the perfect way to celebrate the end of term together.
Year 5 have worked incredibly hard this half term, and I am so proud of their effort, enthusiasm and positive attitudes towards learning. They have truly shown what it means to be expert learners.
We hope you all have a wonderful, restful break and we look forward to another exciting half term ahead!
