Entering the World of Frankenstein! 🧑🏽‍🔬🔨 #BeAnExpertLearner

This week in English, Year 5 began exploring our brand-new class text, Frankenstein. Before opening the book, the children used clues from the title, illustrations and key vocabulary to make thoughtful predictions about what the story might be about. It was fantastic to hear their creative ideas, and we enjoyed comparing them with the events of the story as we began reading.

We then focused on the character of Frankenstein's monster, creating eye-catching wanted posters to describe him. The children generated lots of ambitious vocabulary and discussed the words and phrases that would make their descriptions more interesting and engaging.
