Year 2 had a fantastic time on our recent trip to the farm! We enjoyed an exciting day full of exploration, discovery and hands-on learning.
During our visit, we had the opportunity to observe, feed and pet a variety of farm animals. We loved watching the animals in their surroundings and learning more about how they live, what they eat and how farmers care for them.
There were lots of smiles and excited faces as we got up close to our furry and feathered friends!
Our farm visit linked beautifully to our Geography topic. We explored what a farm is like and thought about the features of a rural environment. We discussed how the countryside is different from a town or city and considered how farms are important for producing food and looking after animals. The trip helped us bring our classroom learning to life and develop a better understanding of the world around us.
What a wonderful way to learn beyond the classroom! 🐷🐔🌾.jpeg)
