Awesome Learning!

As we come to the end of Autumn 1, we are wrapping up all of our topics in a neat little bow. One of those is our Ancient Greek history topic and our English learning centred around the myth of Perseus and Medusa. Over the past two weeks, the children have explored the part of the story where Perseus has to venture to meet the Graeae, three mythical chrones who share an eye, to find the location of the lair of the gorgon. They had a great time, reading and performing the scene to each other before they wrote their own scripts! There was some excellent writing!
We've also made a dent in our final pieces of artwork for our mosaic units and some children have even finished! We used painted dry lasagne sheets to create the pieces which is something we can do at home too. It works best with PVA glue, rather than a glue stick and needs to be stuck to card or cardboard to ensure its sturdy enough to withstand the weight of the pasta.
Our Ancient Greek display is FULL of rubric homework! Make sure you bring yours in ASAP so it can be displayed before half term!
