Safer Internet Day 2023
On the 8th of February, Westwood Academy took part in Safer Internet Day 2023. Through this, the children learned about how to stay safe when they are using technology or playing games online.
The children engaged in conversations about using apps and games safely and talked about app age restrictions, our digital foot print and how to talk to a trusted adult if the children had seen something upsetting on videos, apps and mobile devices.
The children also discussed using SMART and THINK advice to produce art work to give other hints and tips for inline safety and to know the processes to go through if something or someone posts upsetting and innapropriate content.
It can be a really difficult subjet to approch at home, so, please see the resources below to help your child stay safe when they are using technology at home.
