Our Achievements
At Westwood Academy and The Harmony Trust, we are very proud of the achievements of our children, families and staff.
As the information below shows, Westwood Academy pupils' attainment is above both the Oldham local authority average and the England average in Reading, Writing and Maths (combined) in 2019.
Three year averages show that Westwood Academy pupils' attainment is well above Oldham local authority pupils' attainment and the attainment of pupils in state-funded schools in England at both the expected level (Graph A) and at a higher standard (Graph B).

In addition to this, Westwood Academy pupils made well above average progress in Reading, Writing and Maths in 2019 (no data will be published for 2020 due to the Covid 19 school closures).
In addition to this, information from the Compare Schools website shows that progress in Writing and Maths was well above average in 2017, 2018 and 2019. Reading progress was well above average in 2017, average in 2018 and well above average again in 2019.
In January, 2020 we received a letter from Rt Hon Nick Gibb MP (Minister of State for School Standards) to congratulate Westwood Academy staff, children and families on the very high level of progress that children make between Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 in Reading, Writing and Maths. These rates of progress place Westwood Academy in the top 3% of primary schools in the country in 2019.
